I am a Ph.D. candidate in Biological Sciences with a concentration in Molecular and Cellular Biology in the Department of Cell Biology and Molecular Genetics. I work in the laboratory of Dr. Jeffrey DeStefano, where my research focuses on the fidelity of HIV DNA synthesis and the molecular factors that contribute to mutations underlying HIV’s genetic diversity, including whether HIV virions contain sufficient nucleotide pools to support DNA synthesis within the virion.

I hold an M.S. in Microbiology and Immunology from Georgetown University, an M.Sc. in Biotechnology from the University of Rajasthan, and a Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences from the University of Delhi. My academic training is concentrated in molecular and cellular biology, virology, and related biochemical approaches.
