Giving

A tiny baby terrapin cupped in someone's handsWhile the Department of Cell Biology and Molecular Genetics continues to increase the amount of external support received through grants and contracts, in many ways the future success of the department will depend increasingly on philanthropic contributions from alumni, friends, faculty and staff. Your support, either on a one-time or continuing basis, can make a difference and help ensure our students have an outstanding educational experience and are challenged and inspired by the very best faculty.

Below are a few funds the Department of Cell Biology and Molecular Genetics wishes to highlight at this time.

Department of Cell Biology and Molecular Genetics

This is the Chair's fund that provides unrestricted giving to allow for flexibility to meet immediate program needs.

CBMG Outstanding Student Award

This award will support outstanding senior undergraduate students in any BSCI specialization who have demonstrated both strong academic performance and participation in the department community through service or significant research in a CBMG faculty lab.

Dr. M. Zain-Ul-Abedin Memorial Fellowship

This award will support a outstanding graduate student from a developing country planning to study molecular biology.
