Spencer Benson Receives 2011 Carski Foundation Distinguished Undergraduate Teaching Award

Spencer BensonSpencer Benson, associate professor of cell biology and molecular genetics, was awarded the 2011 Carski Foundation Distinguished Undergraduate Teaching Award by the American Society for Microbiology (ASM). The award honors an educator for outstanding teaching of microbiology to undergraduate students and for encouraging them to subsequent achievement. Benson will deliver the Carski Award lecture at the 2011 ASM General Conference, being held in New Orleans, LA, May 21-24.
